The Calathea Crocata Tassmania is a tireless flowering houseplant with beautiful leaves. The curly leaves are green at the top and red at the bottom, as is often the case with a Calathea. Furthermore, the houseplant blooms beautiful orange flowers that rise above the plant. These orange flowers are often compared to flames, which is why the plant’s nickname is also “Eternal Flame”.
Care guide
Originally, the Calathea Crocata Tassmania comes from the Amazon rainforest where the plant grows under the shelter of other trees. Therefore, the plant needs little light when placed in the house. Give the Crocata a sip of water once a week and keep the soil moist, after which the plant will bud again. After 2 to 3 months the Eternal Flame has finished flowering. What has flowered out can be cut off. New leaves will appear in the plant and if they are large enough then the plant will begin to flower again with new flower buds.
