Calathea ‘Fusion White’

The Calathea originally comes from the jungle of South America where it grows mainly in the shade of large trees. Therefore this plant does very well in a shady spot in the house. The Calathea is also known as “The Living Plant” because it closes its leaves at night and opens again in the morning. If you are very quiet you can even hear the rustle!

    Care guide

The Calathea is a true shade plant, so it is important that it does not get too much light. When the plant gets too much light, the leaf markings can fade. Because of its tropical origin, the Calathea requires high humidity. You can give the plant a little lukewarm water 2-3 times a week, as the potting soil should always be slightly moist. In winter, you can reduce this to once a week. To prevent root rot, it is important that no layer of water forms at the bottom of the pot. Therefore, always feel the soil first with your fingers before watering.

    Additional information

The plant has a height of 30 to 40 cm.
