The Zamioculcas, also known as ZZ plant, Emerald palm or Zanzibar Gem, is a very easygoing plant. The plant is native to East Africa, where it is used to periods of drought followed by extreme rainfall. The Zamioculcas stores a lot of water, so it can survive for a long time without water. It doesn’t mind if you forget to water once. Its low maintenance combined with its tough appearance makes the Zamioculcas an incredibly popular plant. It has shiny, feather-shaped leaves and long stems and fits perfectly into classic and modern interiors.
Care guide
The ZZ plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, without direct sunlight. The plant can survive in different light conditions, from bright sunlight to shady spots, although it thrives best in bright indirect light. The ZZ plant can also survive in dry environments and needs little water, once every 2-3 weeks is sufficient. Make sure no excess water remains in the pot/dish. This may cause root rot. The ideal temperature for this plant is 18-22 ºC.
Additional information
Upon delivery, the plant will have a height of 55 to 65 cm.
